Graffiti has a lot in common with Graphic Design

Graffiti has a lot in common with Graphic Design; both use type, symbols, and images to grab a viewer’s attention to deliver an intended message. Graffiti was born in New York City and found it’s way to the UK where artists in both continents developed unique styles, clashed with the law, and changed the landscape we live in. In class, we will be learning about famous artists who work in this style such as Banksy, Harring, Basquiat, Fairey, and ten hundred and will be watching the movie: Banksy and1 the Rise of Outlaw Art (2020) available on Amazon Prime.
