Auto Show winners!
Two Careerline Tech Center graphic design students won awards for their posters at the 32nd annual North American International Auto Show Poster Contest. Avery Brody won $500.00 for the Designer’s Best of Show Award for her poster promoting green energy in automotive technology, the tiger on the car giving a nod to the Detroit Tigers baseball team. Halle Flowers won first place in the 11th-grade category and $500.00 for her poster of a cartoon family attending the Auto Show complete with car hats. Although the Auto Show was canceled this year, the poster contest was open to Michigan students in grades 10-12 and received approximately 750 entries from 58 schools. These and the other posters can also be viewed at naias.com.“Both students’ worked very hard on their designs and I’m extremely proud of them for earning top honors in this difficult competition,” -Sally Salkowski, a graphic design instructor at CTC.
